CONVENTIONAL FIRE ALARMS

A conventional fire alarm simply designates fire zones in order to minimise risk and time. By breaking up your building into fire zones, you can immediately locate the fire zone and potentially save lives and property.

ANALOGUE ADDRESSABLE

An addressable fire alarm panel communicates directly with each device. So in the event of a fire, the fire panel will display the exact device (detector or call point) that signaled the alarm, allowing the fire to be located more quickly. This device addressability is considered to be the main advantage of an addressable fire alarm system,

however there are also other benefits including cabling, alarm history, programmability and more.

WIRELESS ALARMS

One of the main benefits of Radio Fire Alarm Systems is that they reduce the need to run cables to each individual device on the fire alarm system.

Modern radio fire alarm systems will only need cables to be installed to the control and signal booster panel positions to provide a mains supply. This benefit of radio fire alarm systems means that they are ideally suited to listed type buildings and hotels, giving minimal downtime during installation.

AIR SAMPLING UNITS

The basic make up of an air sampling system is a highly sensitive smoke detector, to which a network of pipes draws air from the risk area(s). Air sampling can detect combusted particulates before it has had chance to grow into a fire, and therefore before any damage actually occurs.

One of the key advantages of an air sampling system is that once it has been installed, the pipe-work is maintenance free, providing significant savings in ongoing maintenance costs.

however there are also other benefits including cabling, alarm history, programmability and more.
